Why "Fun" can lead to company success

Research shows that employees who have fun at work are more productive, more creative, build stronger relationships with colleagues and call in sick less.


Here are some quick and easy things to do to inject fun into your team and office


  1. TAKE IT OUTSIDE –  The environment you use for your regular meetings can play a big part in meeting outcomes. Why not head outside for your next meeting – Go sit in a park under a nice big shady tree and let the fresh air inspire fresh ideas and thinking. You will be amazed at the difference.
  2. OBSTACLES TO OVERCOME – Why not create a fun (yet safe) obstacle course that people must complete to get into a certain office. For instance, criss-cross through witch’s hats and duck under a broomstick to get into HR Managers office. Having fun and feeling a little silly; builds a common bond between colleagues.
  3. DRESS TO IMPRESS – Instead of casual Friday’s which everyone does why not diarise fancy dress days such as Super Hero’s day. It’s a bit hard to take life too seriously when you are reading a report next to The Incredible Hulk.
